“From my first session on the EPP CIC course I felt great relief. I would love to go on the course again!”

Susan
Stoke-on-Trent

Susan, from the Cheadle area of Stoke-on-Trent, was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in 2004, which came as a complete shock.

The condition, which left doctors puzzled at first, left the grandmother of five short of breath and energy and dependant on daily inhalers.

Susan, a lifelong non-smoker, said: “Earlier this year I received a letter from my GP informing me about EPP CIC and I decided to enrol on a course. The course covered a variety of topics such as dealing with depression, health eating, it was all very beneficial. The interaction from the other course participants and support from the tutors was fantastic.

“Now I am looking to the future. I know what to expect but I am confident that I cope with whatever life throws at me, especially as EPP CIC have taught me the skills and techniques to manage my condition.

“My message to anyone attending an EPP CIC course is just listen and learn, you will feel great relief – it was wonderful, very uplifting. It was so good I would love to go on the course again.”
