Self Care Reduces Cost and Improves Health - The Evidence

Over the last decade the emphasis in the NHS has increasingly been about putting the patient at the centre of their own healthcare. To support this, various papers and proposals have been put forward in support of self-management, the personal benefits of which have been demonstrated quite vigorously since the Expert Patients Programme (EPP) was piloted in the NHS in 2001-2004 then mainstreamed 2004 - 2007.

Annual Report

The publication of our annual report gives us the opportunity to share with all our stakeholders the work we have been doing during the previous year.

During 2009, EPP CIC has been presented with many of the same challenges faced by other organisations, although we remain firmly on track to deliver our primary objective – supporting the delivery of 100,000 course places by 2012 in a sustainable business.
